This painting portrays the impact of "Manifest Destiny" on Native American cultures. The Yei represents the Puebloan cultures, the bison the Plains Indians and the bones the dead cultures. The Yei and the bison are now spirits in the sky whose tears provided the building blocks for the cities. This is the second painting in the Surrealism Series.
